Roy Lichtenstein emerged as an influential artist  during the Pop Art movement, with a unique approach that involved taking inspiration from commercial printing techniques.

In addition to Pop Art, Roy Lichtenstein also dabbled in other artistic movements, such as Abstract Expressionism, which can be seen in some of his earlier works like “Purple Galaxy” (1959). However, it was ultimately his comic book-inspired paintings that would come to define his legacy and solidify him as one of America’s most famous painters.
