Claude Monet – Impressions of Nature
One could mark French artist Claude Monet as the father of Impressionism, of both the artistic style and the movement since the very term was derived from one of Monet’s paintings – Impression, soleil levant (in English: Impression, Sunrise), exhibited in 1874.
